Collaborative, Creative and Inclusive

IMG_20260429_085131071_HDR~2.jpg

Hello, I’m Emily.

I’m a BACP-registered integrative counsellor. I work with Adults and Young People (13+) who are looking for a space to slow down, reflect, and feel genuinely heard.

Therapy with me is collaborative and relational. I offer a steady, supportive environment where you can explore your story at your own pace — whether that’s making sense of the past, navigating the present, or moving towards meaningful change.

In my work, I see again and again that healing happens through connection: to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

My Approach

My practice is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in deep respect for each person’s unique story and way of being.

I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives — including person-centred, psychodynamic, transactional analysis, and CBT — to help us understand emotional experience, relational patterns, and the parts of you that may feel stuck, conflicted, or hard to access. Alongside this I offer creative approaches such as sandtray work when this supports deeper exploration.

As a counselling educator, I bring psychological insight and gentle psychoeducation where helpful, supporting you not only to explore what you’re feeling, but to make sense of it.

I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience of neurodivergence to my work. You are welcome exactly as you are. My approach is always shaped around the person in front of me, recognising that there is no single “right” way to experience or move through the world.

I remain committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and ethical practice so that I can show up fully and responsibly for the people I work with.

What I can help with ...

People often come to therapy when something no longer feels sustainable — internally, emotionally, or within their relationships.

This might include:

  • anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

  • self-harm and obsessive behaviours

  • Intrusive thoughts

  • low mood, shame, or self-criticism

  • trauma and its ongoing impact

  • identity, self-worth, and self-acceptance

  • relationship patterns and interpersonal difficulties

  • challenging thoughts, feelings, or behaviours

  • feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected from yourself

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Sometimes it begins simply with a sense that something matters and needs space.
